Frequently asked questions
Does my building come with a floor?
All of our sheds come complete with a floor as standard.
Our workshops have a floor as an optional extra, allowing you to choose what best suits your setup.
However, our garages, field shelters, and stables are supplied without a floor, as these are typically installed directly onto a suitable hardstanding base.
How are the buildings treated?
All of our sheds are dip treated in a Hazelnut wood preserver for protection and a rich finish.
Our garages, workshops, carriage houses, field shelters, and stables are treated externally in Hazelnut as standard.
For these larger buildings (not sheds), there is also the option to have the wall cladding fully tanalised (pressure treated) for maximum durability and long-term protection against the elements.
What is tanalised timber?
Tanalised timber is wood that has been pressure treated with a preservative solution to help protect it against rot, decay, and insect attack. The treatment forces the preservative deep into the timber fibres, providing long-lasting protection even in outdoor or damp environments.
It’s an ideal choice for buildings that need extra durability and minimal maintenance, such as garages, workshops, field shelters, and stables. Over time, tanalised timber naturally weathers to a silvery tone, which can be left as is or finished with a suitable wood treatment if you prefer a specific colour.
How can I view the dimensions?
You can find the dimensions of each product directly on the product page. Once you’ve selected your preferred size, simply scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the “Dimensions” tab.
There, you’ll see all the key measurements — including height, width, and depth — clearly listed for your chosen building.
How thick is the cladding on your buildings?
All of our buildings are constructed using shiplap, tongue and groove boards for strength and a high-quality finish.

Garages, workshops, carriage houses, field shelters, and stables are built with 16mm thick boards for extra durability and rigidity.

What size framing do your buildings have?
Our buildings are built with robust framing to ensure strength and stability:

Access requirements?
Vehicle & Site Access
Our delivery vehicles vary depending on the size and type of building ordered. We require suitable vehicle access to the front of your property or as close to the installation location as possible.
For supply only orders, the building will be unloaded and left in a convenient location, typically at the front of the property or the nearest accessible point.
For installation orders, our installation team will manually carry the building components to the assembly location. We require a minimum clear access width of 3ft (900mm) throughout the entire route. Please note that long carrying distances, steps, steep slopes or restricted access may incur an additional charge.
When placing your order, please let us know of any access restrictions and the approximate carrying distance from where our vehicle can park to the installation site. This allows us to ensure the correct delivery arrangements are made.

Delivery timescales?
Delivery times vary throughout the year depending on demand.
As a general guide:
- Garden Sheds are around 4-6 weeks.
- Larger Standard buildings (popular models) are typically delivered from 8 weeks.
- Made-to-measure or labour-intensive products may take slightly longer.

Please note: delivery times can occasionally be slightly earlier or later than stated, depending on transport logistics and your location.
Central or densely populated areas are serviced more frequently than rural locations such as Scotland, Wales, Devon, and Cornwall.
Delivery planning?
You will receive advance notice of your exact delivery date, either directly from us or from our delivery partner—usually by telephone or email prior to delivery.
If the proposed date isn’t convenient, you can reschedule at no extra cost.
Deliveries are made Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
